Hulhumalé, Malé and Maafushi

About This Package
Most visitors see the Maldives as a beach and nothing else. This trip adds the capital. Malé is one of the smallest capital cities in the world, a square mile of narrow streets, a fish market, an old coral-stone mosque and the harbour, and it takes a morning to walk.
You start with two nights in Hulhumalé, the island joined to the airport and to Malé by a bridge, which means a late flight is no problem. One evening you go out on a boat at sunset to fish with a hand line, and the crew grills what is caught.
On the third day a speedboat takes you to Maafushi for two nights by the tourist beach, with a half-day trip to a reef and a sandbank. The last morning the speedboat takes you straight to the airport.
