About This Package

A week for two, planned around the three places in Vietnam that couples ask for: the beach at Da Nang, the lantern streets of Hoi An, and a night on Ha Long Bay. The hotels are a step up from our other trips, and the days are kept short.

You start in the centre, with three nights in a 4-star resort on My Khe beach. One day is Ba Na Hills and the Golden Bridge; one afternoon is Hoi An, with a rowing boat for two among the lanterns and a candlelight dinner in the old town; one day is free, with a couple's spa treatment booked. You then fly to Hanoi for a city day and the overnight cruise, in a cabin with its own balcony on the bay.

We decorate the room on the first night and arrange a cake for a birthday or anniversary. Tell us the date.

Practical Tips

Put Da Nang as the entry airport on your e-visa and fly home from Hanoi. One e-visa covers both.
Book a flight home that leaves Hanoi after 3 pm, so the cruise does not have to be cut short.
Hoi An's lanterns are lit every evening, and the old town is busiest on the full-moon night, when the electric lights are switched off.
