About This Package

Phu Quoc is Vietnam's beach island, off the southern coast near Cambodia, and the place to go between November and April when the beaches of the centre are rained on. This trip gives you four nights in a 4-star resort on Long Beach, the long western strip where the sun sets into the sea.

Two days are outings. One is the cable car to Hon Thom, eight kilometres over the sea and the longest of its kind, with the water park at the far end. One is a boat day to the small southern islands, for snorkelling over the coral and lunch on board. A half day covers Sao Beach, the white-sand beach on the east coast, with a pepper farm and a fish sauce factory on the way. The rest is the pool and the beach.

There is no direct flight from Kathmandu to Phu Quoc. You fly to Ho Chi Minh City, and the 50-minute flight on to the island is included.

Practical Tips

Put Tan Son Nhat, Ho Chi Minh City, as the entry airport on your e-visa, because that is where you first land in Vietnam.
Phu Quoc is best from November to April. From June to September the west coast sea is rough and boat days are often cancelled.
Allow at least three hours between landing in Ho Chi Minh City and the Phu Quoc flight, because you go through immigration first.
