Kuala Lumpur, Genting and Malacca

About This Package
Five days is the Malaysia trip most travellers from Nepal take. It has the same city tour and the same day at Batu Caves and Genting Highlands as our short break, and it adds a full day in Malacca, the old port two hours south that the Portuguese, the Dutch and the British each held in turn.
Malacca is small and walked in an afternoon. The red buildings of Dutch Square and Christ Church are at the bottom of St Paul's Hill, the gate of the Portuguese fort A Famosa is on the far side of it, and a 45-minute boat ride follows the river past the painted houses. On the drive back you stop at Putrajaya, the government city, for the pink Putra Mosque across the lake.
You sleep in the same Kuala Lumpur hotel all four nights, so the days out need only a day bag. If you travel on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday, tell us: the Jonker Street night market in Malacca runs on those three evenings only, and we can plan the Malacca day to finish there.

Practical Tips
- Fill in the free Malaysia Digital Arrival Card online within three days before you land. It is separate from the eVISA and you need both.
- Batu Caves has 272 steps and asks you to cover your shoulders and knees. Keep food and loose items in a closed bag, because the monkeys take them.
- The Putra Mosque lends robes to visitors at the gate and is closed to them on Friday mornings, so we do not plan the Malacca and Putrajaya day for a Friday.
