Package Overview

About This Package

Two countries on one Malaysian visa. You fly into Kuala Lumpur, travel to Singapore by coach, and fly home from Singapore. The order is deliberate: Malaysia's eVISA for a Nepali passport allows one entry only, so a route that came back into Malaysia would need a second visa. Singapore does not ask a Nepali passport for a visa for a short visit.

The Malaysia half is our short break: the city tour, Batu Caves, and Genting Highlands by cable car. On the fourth morning a coach takes you down the highway and across the border, about six hours with the stop at immigration. In Singapore you have a city tour with the Merlion and Marina Bay, the Flower Dome and Cloud Forest at Gardens by the Bay, and an evening on Sentosa.

Singapore's hotels cost far more than Kuala Lumpur's, which is why this trip gives it two nights and Malaysia three. Universal Studios Singapore is not in this price; our eight-day Malaysia and Singapore Tour includes it, with more time in both cities.

Visa & Practical Info

Practical Tips

  • Two arrival forms, both free: the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card within three days before you land in Kuala Lumpur, and the SG Arrival Card within three days before you cross into Singapore.
  • Book the flight home from Singapore on a route that does not pass back through Kuala Lumpur. If you have to collect bags or change terminals there, it can count as entering Malaysia again, and the eVISA allows one entry.
  • At the border everyone leaves the coach twice with their bags, once for each country. Keep your passport and printed eVISA in your hand luggage.
  • Singapore fines for things that pass elsewhere: eating on the metro, littering, and bringing in chewing gum or cigarettes without paying duty.
