About This Package

The city and the island in one trip. This is the two-centre Malaysia holiday that agencies sell most, and the split works: two nights for Kuala Lumpur's towers and Batu Caves, then an hour's flight to Langkawi for three nights on the beach.

The Kuala Lumpur day is a full one, with Batu Caves in the morning and the city tour after lunch. In Langkawi the cable car takes you up Mount Machinchang to the Sky Bridge, a boat takes you island-hopping to the lake on Dayang Bunting, and one whole day is left free for the beach at Pantai Cenang.

The flights inside Malaysia are in the price, with baggage. You fly home from Langkawi through Kuala Lumpur, so there is no long drive at the end. Genting Highlands is not in this trip; if you want it, we add a third night in Kuala Lumpur.

Practical Tips

Fill in the free Malaysia Digital Arrival Card online within three days before you land. It is separate from the eVISA and you need both.
Batu Caves has 272 steps and asks you to cover your shoulders and knees. Keep food and loose items in a closed bag, because the monkeys take them.
The Langkawi cable car stops in strong wind and closes for maintenance for about two weeks each July. If it is closed on your day we move it to another day of your stay.
