Hanoi and Sapa

About This Package
A trip for people who like hills. Sapa sits at 1,500 metres in the far north of Vietnam, among rice terraces that climb the valley sides, and it is cool when the rest of the country is hot. From Hanoi the limousine bus takes about five and a half hours on the expressway.
You have two nights there. One day is Fansipan, at 3,143 metres the highest peak in Indochina, reached by a cable car that takes 15 minutes. One day is a guided walk down through the terraces to the Hmong villages of Cat Cat and Lao Chai, about four hours of easy walking. Hanoi gets a city day and the water puppet show at either end.
The terraces are green from June to August and gold in September, before the harvest. From December to February Sapa is cold and often in cloud, and we suggest another route then.
