Chiang Mai & Chiang Rai
4.6 / 5from 20 Google reviewsPackage Overview
About This Package
Thailand without the beach. Chiang Mai has the old city's temples and Doi Suthep on the hill above it, and a half day at an elephant sanctuary where you watch and feed the elephants rather than ride them. Then a car takes you to Chiang Rai for the White Temple, the Blue Temple and the Golden Triangle, where Thailand, Laos and Myanmar meet.
Go between November and January, when the north is cool and clear. From February to April smoke from crop burning covers the region, and we do not recommend this trip in those months.
