Bali Temples and Heritage

About This Package
Bali is the one Hindu island of Indonesia, and its temples are still in daily use. This trip is for travellers from Nepal who want to see that side of the island properly: seven days, the main temples, and a pace that works for parents and grandparents.
You stay five nights in Ubud, which is close to most of the temples. From there you visit Tirta Empul, where a guide explains the bathing ritual, Besakih on Mount Agung, the lake temple at Bedugul, and Lempuyang in the east. The last night is in Jimbaran, for Uluwatu and the Kecak dance, a short drive from the airport.
Vegetarian food is easy to arrange on every day of this route.

Practical Tips
- Temples ask you to cover your shoulders and knees. A sarong and sash are lent at the gate of the larger ones.
- For the bathing at Tirta Empul bring a change of clothes. A bathing sarong and a locker can be hired there.
- Lempuyang has many steps and an early start. Older travellers can stay at the first courtyard, where the gate is.
